Assembly / Finishing
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Stuff the body firmly with fiberfill. Weave the tail through the front loop of the remaining 6 stitches and pull tight to close. Weave in the end. If using safety eyes, insert them between Rnd 7 and 8, about 4-5 stitches apart, before fully closing the body.
Tips
- Use a stitch marker to keep track of the first stitch of each round, especially with fluffy yarn where stitches can be harder to see.
- Crocheting tightly will help your amigurumi hold its shape and prevent stuffing from showing through.
- Make a gauge swatch to ensure your finished sheep is the desired size. While stitch counts are verified, actual size can vary depending on your tension.
