Assembly / Finishing
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Stuff the sphere firmly with fiberfill. Weave the tail through the front loop of each remaining stitch and pull tight to close the opening. Weave in any remaining ends with your tapestry needle.
Tips
- Use a stitch marker to mark the first stitch of each round to help keep track of your rounds, especially when working in a spiral.
- To achieve a seamless look, use the invisible decrease method for your decreases (insert hook into front loop of first stitch, then into front loop of second stitch, yarn over, pull through both loops, yarn over, pull through remaining two loops on hook).
- Crochet a gauge swatch before starting to ensure your finished sphere will be the desired size and density.
