Assembly / Finishing
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for weaving in. Weave in all ends securely. To shape the cat ears, you can gently fold and tack down two points on the edge of the circle with a small stitch, or simply leave it as a round coaster.
Tips
- Use a stitch marker to mark the first stitch of each round if you find it difficult to keep track.
- For a stiffer coaster, use a smaller hook size or double strand your yarn.
- This pattern creates a basic circular coaster. To add cat features, embroider eyes, nose, and whiskers after completing the final round.
- Always crochet a gauge swatch to ensure your finished item will be the desired size.
