Assembly / Finishing
For the Frog:
- Using black yarn and a tapestry needle, embroider two small eyes onto the frog's face between Rnd 7 and 8.
- Weave in all loose ends.
For the Lily Pad:
- Weave in all loose ends. No stuffing is required for the lily pad if you want it flat, or you can lightly stuff it for a plump look.
Tips
- Use a stitch marker to keep track of your first stitch in each round, especially when working in a spiral.
- To achieve a neat decrease, use an invisible decrease (insert hook into front loop of first stitch, then into front loop of second stitch, yarn over, pull through both front loops, yarn over, pull through both loops on hook).
- Crochet a gauge swatch to ensure your finished item will be the desired size.
