Assembly / Finishing
Fasten off, leaving a long tail. Stuff the heart firmly with fiberfill. Using the tapestry needle, weave the tail through the front loop of each remaining stitch and pull tight to close the opening. Weave in any remaining ends. Shape the heart gently with your hands.
Tips
- Use a stitch marker to keep track of the first stitch of each round, moving it up as you complete each round.
- Stuff the heart as you go, especially as the opening gets smaller, to ensure even firmness.
- Practice your sc and inc stitches to maintain consistent tension, which is key for amigurumi.
- Crochet a gauge swatch to ensure your stitches are tight enough so stuffing does not show through.
