Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Weave in the starting tail to close the center hole. Stuff firmly. Use the tail to close the remaining opening.
Assembly / Finishing
- Eyes: Insert safety eyes between Rnd 7 and Rnd 8, approximately 6-8 stitches apart, or to your preference.
- Mouth: Using black embroidery floss, embroider a small mouth below the eyes.
- Stuffing: Ensure the body is firmly stuffed before closing the final opening.
- Weave in ends: Securely weave in all loose yarn ends.
Tips
- Use a stitch marker to keep track of your rounds, especially when working in continuous spirals.
- Crochet tightly to prevent stuffing from showing through your stitches.
- Practice the invisible decrease (sc2tog) for a neater finish on your decreases.
- Crochet a gauge swatch to ensure your finished item will be the desired size; stitch counts are verified, but size varies.
