Purr-fectly Petite Cat Toy

A quick and easy crochet pattern for a charming little cat toy.

Materials

• Worsted weight (4) acrylic yarn, approximately 20 yards / 18 meters
• 4.0 mm crochet hook (US G/6)

• Fiberfill stuffing
• Optional: Small amount of catnip

Body

Assembly / Finishing

Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Weave in the starting tail to close any hole in the magic ring. Stuff the toy firmly with fiberfill, adding catnip if desired. Using the long tail and a yarn needle, weave through the remaining stitches around the opening and pull tight to close. Weave in any remaining ends.

Tips

• Use a stitch marker to keep track of the first stitch of each round, especially if you are not joining with a slip stitch at the end of each round (though this pattern instructs you to do so).
• For a firmer toy, stuff more densely. For a softer toy, stuff less.
